Christmas in the City

Lights decorated like stars,
Snow covers like marshmallow.
Carolers sing like birds,
Giving sound to the holidays.
The fashionable tree is the king of the square.
Love is spread as people are a little more friendlier.
And at the church,
It's king is asleep in the manger,
Showing the meaning of the holiday.

Timeless

Our time together
Is my best memory of you.
I dream of your smile,
Your long, flowing hair,
Your soft touch.
It feels like paradise.
I dream of you everyday.
To see that joy,
And embrace that happiness.
That is truly timeless.

My Sweet Dove

My sweet dove,
Whose touch is heavenly,
How do thy miss you.
Eternal questions,
Looking at memories.
Have you forgotten me?
I should never think you have.
For each time I look at your face
I see the glow in your eyes.
The next time we meet,
I look forward to your touch
And be with you all over.

Do We Have to Agree to be Free?

I may not like what you like.
I may not honor what you honor.
I may not eat what you eat.
I may not think what you think.
Do we have to be at war over differences?
Is it a crime to have different thoughts?
I may not have all the votes,
But I am happy,
I do not nor wist not any harm.
I want to live my life.
Anyway, would it be fair if I call you a villain
If we are different in style.

Honesty

We used to value the truth,
We always showed how we feel
Or who we are.
We know if someone cares.
We show pride, humility, friendship.
We know what happens when the picture was clear.
Now, we abuse.
We want funny names or none at all,
We get addicted at times when we should not.
And we do find out,
We act like riots.
We turn the truth not into facts,
But to editorials to support us.
It has to be a story,
It has to kiss ass.
It has to be anything,
But what it is.
Pretty soon, we will not believe anybody.
No honor,
No peace,
No love,
No facts.
Just a wonderland of a mess,
Where everything is topsy-turvy,
And we just do not give a damn.

Hero

A hero would stand on his own,
His morals,
His ideals,
His bravery.
He would do the impossible.
Move an army with two hands,
Is not addicted to his image.
He lived alone or together with no regrets.
Nowadays, image is everything,
What his boss says,
What his friends say,
What the media represents.
Everybody wants more than a piece of the pie.
I fear the word "hero" will soon be extinct,
If not, maybe a sin.
We can strive to be heroes,
And nothing to show we are,
All we need is to do dare the impossible,
And have a lot of heart.

To See Who I Am

To see my journey,
From babe, to child, to student, to man;
I see all I amassed and accomplished.
I know what I can do,
I know my limitations.
But yet they see the obstacle
Not my growth.
I yearn not for respect,
Not for pity.
I want my opportunity,
A moment to shine.
And I will prove my greatness then.
