The Golden Sun

As I make the journey out of darkness,
I see a great light.
A glow that shines brighter than the hottest torch.
Hotter than the closest star.
Its warmth is soothing as a warm hug on a cold, winter's day.
It is a sigh of everlasting peace.
Of a journey's medal and honor
For the longest trek.
Yes, I came to it,
And alas, I truly earned it.

Thy sweetest gift

After the day I give Thanks,

I look at the thing I miss.

I do not show disappointment.

I find joy.

At the gift you truly give me.

It is not material,

It is not one of deed,

It is one of heart.

You give time,

You give of yourself.

I see more than just beauty in you,

I see love.

I am more grateful than ever,

That you are in my life,

And I want to share the rest of it with you. 

Frustration

As I have fought for years on end,

My time to end is near.

I wish I can have peace,

Settle for a compromise.

But I have been caged,

My freedoms challenged,

My dignity and hope lost.

I want to finally have choice,

I want to have opportunity.

I don't care anymore if people judge me,

For they lost their voice to brainwashing.

If I can truly fight,

It is one battle that can be best won on my own.

One of the heroes that saved my lonely soul.

Timid at first,

But gave me a kiss on New Year's Eve.

Always in the shower,

Always on the throne.

Was my nurse through my rough patch.

Always smiling,

Always curious,

Always smart.

Good- bye my best friend.

You are always in my heart.

Thinking of You

When I see the stars in the sky,

I think of you staring at me with such beauty.

When I look at the sunrise,

I think of your warm smile.

When I see children playing, 

I think of your kindness.

When I think of being wrapped in a soft blanket,

I think of your soft hugs.

No matter where I am,

You are always there with me.

The Ultimate Shine

Two precious cherubs smiling at me,
Hugging my heart to give me hope.
They share a wonderful kindness between them.
I give them love,
And they give it to me twice.
Then to hope that one day we can meet outside the box.
To hold on to that memory,
Hold on to that hope.
That is a true gift.

I Thank Thee

I have been kicked out of the town quarter,

Laughed out of the palace,

Found to be an alien amongst my own clan.

Then I came to you.

You have re-built my confidence,

Find pride in my kindness,

And find warmth within this odd heart.

All the trinkets,

All the thank yous,

Is never enough

To tell you that you gave life to a barren soul.
